Yesterday at daybreak a whale was seen disporting Itself iv the Gulf, distant about seven miles from Grahamstown, and after three or four hours' hard work the men employed in the steamers and fishing boats succeeded in forcing the animal up the Thames river into shoal water, where it was soon killed.
