This day
A meeting Avas held yesterday of the creditors of T. W. Carr and Sons, storekeepers, Te Aroint. The debtors stated
that they could not carry on, having exceeded their capital, and being under pressure from tho bank. The assets Avere stated at £30,271, and tho liabilities at _28\745. The Bank of New Zealand appears for .19710. In July last the debtors promised to give the bank security AA-hcnever demanded. On the oth instant the bank demanded and got security on everything. Mr Carr stated that he avus not Aery avcll aAvaro Avhat lie signed, whether it Avas a bill of sale or not. A trustee Avas appointed by the meeting, and also a committee of adA-isers.
