THE INANGAHUA VACANCY.—TWO CANDIDATES.
Wellington, This day. Mr Edward Shaw, of the firm of Brandon, Shaw, and Brandon, formerly Warden at Reefton, and afterwards District Judge here, has accepted a requisition from Inaiigahua to contest that scat in the House. Mr Richard Reeves has retired in his favor. Mr Wakefield is the only other candidate in the field at present, Reeiton, This day. All parties are looking forward to the announcement by the Speaker of the receipt of 3lr "Wesi-on's resignation.
