HHENDERS are invited from Bush Settlers X for the formation of Railway line from 72 miles 50 chains (end of Mangatewainui Contract) to 73 miles 72 chains (near Matamau). The work will be let in nine separate small contracts. Plans and Specifications may be seen at the above office, where also written tenders are to bo sent before NOON of WEDNESDAY, the 14th inst., addressed to the undersigned and marked outside "Tender for Matamau Formation Contract, No. —." Sections 3 and 4 have frontage to the Taupo-road. Maungaiiaruru District: Fern hills and spurs on the western slopes of the Maungaiiaruru range, the soil is light, about one half of Section 2 is undulating country covered with natural grasses. Section 3is good pastoral land. Section 4 has frontage to Taupo-road. A few clumps of bush are scattered about on Section 1. Waitara District: Open fern country, hilly. A bridle-road on the permanent grades has been formed a distance of 12 miles through the block, starting from the Tauporoad about 35 miles from Napier. Crown Lands Office, Napier, January 27, 1883.
