BOROUGH PUBLIC WORKS COMMITTEE MEETING.
The Public Works Committee of the Municipal Council held their usual meeting last evening, and agreed to the following recommendations: — 1. That the report of the engineer be adopted except clause 4, the consideration of which is recommended to be postponed.
2. That the regulations re catchpits be adopted and printed, and the plans lithographed. 3. That the report of the overseer be adopted, and the engineer requested to report on the state of the bridge near the Union Steamship Company's office at the
Spit. <l. That the report of the inspector of nuisances be adopted, and that he be instructed to take proceedings against all persons failing to comply with the regulations re the pan system within a week from date of notice, and that the earnest consideration of the Council be invited to the suggestions of the inspector with regard to a sanitary rate.
