(By Carle.) London, February 1. The total re-.eive in the Bank of England iv notes and bullion is £12,700,000, an increase of £300,000 during the week. The proportion of reserve to liabilities has advanced to 18 per cent. The bank rate remains at 1 per cent, and the market rate at 3_. Consols, 1021. New Zealand securities are unchanged at last quotations. Adelaide flour, ex-store, 50s Od; Now Zealand ditto, 41s Gd to -ISs. Australian tallow, best beef -lis, and best mutton 10s Gd. The total stock of tallow iv London to-day is 11,000 casks, 2100 less than last month. Melbourne, Friday. Messrs C. S. Ross and Co., of this city, report having sold cargoes of kauri timber 'ex Andellaud aud Killamey at the following average prices at per 100 feet super:—Hewn logs, Us: sawn flitches, l-3s Od. The market is very weak. Sydney, Friday. New Zealand wheat, per bushel, Is : New Zealand oats, 3s ; maize, 4s ; sugar, Company's No. 1 pieces, per ton, £35. Adelaide, Friday. Wheat is steady at 5s to 5s Id ; town flour per ton £12, and country brands £10 17s Od. Freights to the United Kingdom from Adelaide 1-ss. The freight market is dull, aud but little business is doing.
