R, Miller & Potts, have received instructions from various clients to sell by Public Auction, on the above date, the following Rams: — LINCOLN RAMS. Instructed by J. B. Sutton, Esq., of Invercarsrill— Qf\ LINCOLN RAMS, 2 and 4-Tooth. 1/V_7 These Rams are specially selected for this market, and aro of very fine quality. Mr Sutton is well known as the largest prize-taker at all the principal Shows in the South Island. Instructed by P. C. Tiirelkeld, Esq., of Cantcrlmrv. _ 120 LINCOLN RAMS, ' 2 aud 4-tooth. For quality and evenness these will be found to surpass any forwarded by Mr Tiirelkeld at previous Ram Fairs. They have been, as usual with this reliable breeder, most carefully selected. 110 PURE LINCOLN RAMS, 2 and 4-tooth, bred by Philip Dolbel, Esq., of Puketapu. These well-known and favorite sheep are bred with care from the highest class imported rams, several first prize-takers. Flockowners who have used them in past years testify to their progeny being thoroughly good. Instructed by New Zealand and Australian Land Company— 00 LINCOLN RAMS, 2 and 4-tooth. These Rams have been kept specially for this market and are of very fine quality. Sheep from this flock have been amongst the largest prize-takers in the South Island during the past year. Society's Show, and therefore knew what class of sheep were wanted in the district, aud selected the above Rams, all of them being of fine quality and from imported Rams and Ewes. Instructed by Hon. Matthew Holmes, of Oamaru— 00 LINCOLN RAMS, 2 and 4-tooth. These are a very high class lot of Rams, Mr Hohnes taking a large share of honors at the various Southern Shows. Instructed by J. A. and W. M. Douglas, Waikato— 20 L I N C 0 L N R A M S, 2-t o o th. Messrs Douglas are well known iv the North, and have taken a number of prizes at the Auckland and other Shows. The wool is of the finest quality and weight, his rams clipping up to 241b wool each. Instructed by J. E. Goose, Esq., Kaikora— 30 LINCOLN RAMS, 2, 4, and G-tooth. Bred by J. Allen, Esq., ot'Taieri, Otago. These sheep were selected in Otago by Mr Goose, who picked all his sheep before shearing. Instructed by J. Anderson, Esq., Kereru— 1 PURE " LINCOLN RAM,' 4_ years. Bred by Messrs Urquhart, Victoria. This Ram took first prize in his class at the Melbourne Show, aud second champion prize for the best Longwool Ram in the Show. Bred by T. Tanner, Esq.— 70 FULL-MOOTHED RAMS, used in own Flock. ROMNEY-MARSH RAMS. Instructed by Hon. Matthew Holmes, of Oamaru— 30 ROMNEY-MARSH RAMS, 2-tooth. These Rams arc really good, and the Ronincys are coming into favor now, being finer than the Liucolns. Instructed by John Reid, Esq., of Oamaru. 30 ROMNEY - MARSH RAMS, 2 and 4-tooth. These arc splendid Rains, Mr Reid being the largest prize-taker in the South Island for Romncys. MERINO RAMS. Instructed by D. Gollan, Esq.— 30 ST CD MERINO RAMS, 2-tooth. These arc bred from a pure Gibson Ram, and are very good, Mr Gollan taking champion prize at the late Show, and other first prizes. Instructed by Trustees Stokes Estate, Milboume — 40 PURE MERINO RAMS, 2 and 4tooth. Instructed by J. Anderson, Esq., Kereru — 45 ME R I N O RAM S, G-tooth. GO ME 1. IN O RAM S, 4-tooth. 70 MER I N O RAM S, 2-tooth. These are bred from pure Wyndliam Rams aud Ewes, and have been carefully selected the owner reserving none for his own use. This breed is fast coming to the front, Mr Anderson taking no less than six prizes at our last Annual Show. Instructed by J. Anderson, Sen., Moteo — 3 PURE VERMONT AMERICAN MERINO RAMS, 4-tooth. 3 PURE WYNDHAM MERINO RAMS 4-tooth. These are a very superior class of Rains, the wool being of beautiful quality and very dense, and they are grand constitution sheep. Also— 20 PURE WYNDHAM-STUD EWES, Equal to any imported.
