AUCKLAND.
This day. At the inquest on the body of the boy Leonard Gash, who was killed on the cricket ground, a verdict of accidental death was returned, with a rider that the Cricket Club shoidd chain up the rollers when out of use, to prevent similar accidents. Mr G. M. Eeid was a passenger by the Ringarooma from Sydney. His mission in England in connection with the New Zealand Land Settlement Company is stated to have been very successful.
