[by telegraph.] Wairoa, -This day The Wairoa County Jockey Club's fifth annual meeting took place at Paeroa yester- ' day. The weather was splendid, and the attendance good, over 800 people being on the course. The three steamers from Clyde were crowded, the Napier baud being on board the s.s. Maori. The following arc the results: — IX_NDICAP HURDLES. Herctaunga 1 A.G 2 Roebuck .. .. .. 3 Morning Star was scratched. HACK HURDLES. Gundagai 1 Mohaka 2 One other horse started. MAIDEN PLATE. Heretauuga .. .. .. 1 TimWliiffler 2 Forest King .. .. .. 3 Three others started. COUNTY STAKES HANDICAP. The Laird 1 Never Miss 2 Raugipo 3 Four others started. HACK RACE. Gundagai .. .. .. 1 Merrimack .. .. .. 2 district plate. TimWhimer 1 Koinite Maori .. .. 2 Creamy .. .. .. .. 3 SADDLE RACE. Glenfeni 1 Whakatai ..... .. - Six others started.
