"Dog Registration Act, 1880." rpflE attention of OWNERS of DOGS is directed X to Section i of "The Dog Registration Act, 1880," which is as follows :— " Any person who shall keep any Dog within the Colony of a greater age than six months, for a period of fourteen days, without c-uising such Dog to be Registered, and such Registration to be made again from year to year, shall be liable to a penalty of FIVE POUNDS for every such Dog, over and above the amount of any fee payable in respect of the .heglstration of such Dog." The Registration of Dogs within the Boroush of Napier will commence on the Ist of January next. REGISTRATION FEE: TEN SHILLINGS, payable to SERGT. CLAUSE 28 • WHEN a Householder knows that a person within the house occupied by him is taken sick of Small-pox, Cholera, or any other highly infectious disease dangerous to the people, he shall immediately give notice thereof to the Local Board of the distric in which he dwellSi If hi refuses or neg lects to give such notice be shall forfeit a sum not exceeding £10. It shall bo the duty of the Medical Practitioner in attendance on such case to stite to the Householder, as early as possible, the infectious nature of such disease.'
