A cable bas been received from London, bearing date tbe 19th instant, stating that the following vessels had sailed prior to that date :—Ship Wellington for Port Chalmers with 319 immigrants, and Crusader for Lyttelton with 381 immigrants. In reference to a statement published by a Marlborough paper, to the effect that Mr Conolly was about to take the portfolio of the Post and Telegraphic iDepartment in addition to tbat of Justice, Ministers state tbat the subject has never been discussed much less decided, but it is possible that some re-arrangement Of portfolios may take place after the holidays.
