Mr Lyndon will sell by auction to-morrow at 11 a.m. a quantity of useful furniture, &c.

Mr Monteith holds an important sale of cattle afc Beeeroft's yards, Hastings, on Tuesday next. The annual meeting of St. John's Branch of the H.A.C.B. Society ■will take place at

the usual place and hour on Wednesday next. All outstanding debts owing to Mr W. Miles, night soil contractor, will bo sued for without further notice if not settled. Messrs Blythe and Co. have hundreds of washing sun hats for one shilling each. This week a number of specialities can be obtained at Goodson's London Arcade. Mr E. Tuke has for sale or lease for a term of years a nine-roomed family residence situated in two acres of ground, divided into garden and paddock. Tho meeting of the members of the Jockey Club for the election of members will take place on Thursday, 21st instant, and not Tuesday, 19th, as previously announced. The secretary of the Harbor Board, Mr Saunders, invites tenders from persons willing to contract for the supply and delivery of stores required by the Board for the year ending December 31, 1883. For one month Mr S. E. Cooper, watchmaker and jeweller, will allow a discount of 2s in the £1 on all purchases of 20s and upwards. Mr Cooper has just received the newest designs in every description of jewellery and watches. At the weekly sale at the Horse Bazzar on Saturday, Mr Monteith will offer 16 horses of various description, and also the entire horse Otupaopao and the well bred mare Nellie. A permanent tenant wants a six-roomed house on the hills. The steamer Kiwi leaves for Wellington at 5 p.m. to-morrow. Mr W. E. Woods, pharmaceutical chemist, Napier and Hastings, informs the public that owing to increase in business, he has determined to reduce his scale of charges.
