In its issue this morning the Standard announces that Earl Derby will sit in the Cabinet as Secretary of State for India, vice the Marquis of Hartington, who will take tbe portfolio of Secretary for War, Mr Childers, the present Secretary of State for War, assuming the Chancellorship of the Exchequer, about to be resigned by the Premier. The members of the ambassy sent to Europe by the Queen of Madagascar, and who recently arrived in London, had an audience to-day of Her Majesty the Queen at Windsor.
