V. NAPIER. Wairoa, November 28. In the second inoinga of Wairoa tbe eleven were got out for 33 runs, two behind the score of Napier in the first innings. Pram bowled splendidly, taking eight wickets for seven runs. The following are the scores : — Goodyear ... ... ... 11 Strickland 6 Sim 5 Gardiner 4 Carroll 2 Hird 0 Flint 0 Fraser 0 Poole 0 Parker 0 Sargent ... 0 Extras 5 Total... 33 The Napier men then went in, but after five runs were scored rain stopped the play. The match was resumed this morning, when Napier won by eight wickets. The Wairoa bowling was good at the start, but it gave way. The Napier scores were — H. Martin 0 Mayo ... ... 0 J.
