Production of " Patience" at tho Theatre Royal to-night by the Tambour-Major Opera Company. Special train loaves Hastings at 7 p.m., returning at tho close of the opera. Mr Ryan holds an auction sale of new potatoes, bacon, &c, at his mart at 3 p.m. on Monday. Tho Friendly Societies hold sports on New Year's Day, the programme of which will appear shortly. Messrs Banner and Liddle sell furniture, ale, oatmeal, bacon, clothing, &c, by auction at their rooms on Wednesday next. Claims against the barque Wave Queen must be rendered in duplicate to the agents, Messrs Murray, Roberts and Co., by Tuesday, or they will not be recognised. The shave transfer books of the Union Insurance Company will bo closed from the Ist to the ISth December inclusive.
Pohuka Ilapuku cautious persons against erecting a fence on his land at To Autu in place of the one pulled down. Messrs Blythe and Co., are offering men's, youth's, and boy's clothing at reduced prices.
J Mr Brooking has a grocery business in I Napier for lease or sale. ' Mr John Benouf invites tenners for
painter's and paperhanger's work required for Mr Watt's house at Kaikora. Mr R. G. Graham has several cottages for sale on easy payments. Mr W. L. Jackson wants to sell cabbage and cauliflower plants. Mr Haselden, of Goodson's London Arcade, requires board and lodging in a private family. Ham and eggs, tea, coffee, cakes. &c., can be obtained at Yeuell's restaurant until 12 o'clock to-night. Woods' trico saron fluid is a valuable preparation for increasing the growth of the hair.
