The first Church of England Congress opens here to-morrow, and numbers of bishops and clergy have arrived to take part in the proceedings. Obituary—Mr Thoneman, of the firm of Lange and Thoneman.

The following team has been selected to play for Victoria in the match against the English team on Friday next and succeeding days :—W. Bruce, F. Barker, W. H. Cooper, J. D. Edwards, T. W. Groube, F. J. D. Kelly, P. M'Shane, J. Swift, 11. Scott, E. Turner, and Logan. Emergency man, J. Rosser.
