The Napier Rifle Volunteers parade at the Protestant Hall at 8 o'clock to-night.

The regular monthly meeting of the Scinde Lodge of Freemasons will be held in the Masonic Hall, Tenny sob -street, at 7.30 this evening.

The usual meeting of the Shield of Health Lodge, 1.0.GKT., will take place at 7.30 this evening, when officers will be nominated and elected.

Messrs Monteith and Co hold a sale of cattle and horses at the Shamrock yards at 1 p.m. to-morrow. Messr« M. R. Miller and Pofcfcs will dispose of by auction to-morrow at 1.30 p.m., at Beecroft's yards, Hastings, 120 head of mixed cattle.

Tenders for the erection of additions to the Napier Hospital must be sent in to Mr Dugleby not later than noon to-morrow. The first dividend in the estate of James Watson under the deed of arrangement will be paid by the trustees on all claims proved on or before Monday next. Mr J. W. Neal will receive proofs. For the convenience of patients Dr. Caro will be in attendance at Mr Woods' chemist's shop from 11 a.m. to 12 noon daily. Messrs GHlbertson and Dixon require tenders for 43 chains of draining at Brookfield, Meanee, and also for ploughing 100 acres at Waikare, Rissington.

Mr Gr. Stevens, Purinui, has a few dairy cows, a draught filly, and a chaff cutter and tiny thresher combined, for sale. Mr Roope Brooking has a country store and a town section for sale, two offices to let, and several sums of money to lend. Messrs Neal and Close are importing 978 cases and bales of new seasonable goods, groceries, and oilman's stores. Mr James Thompson, Clive, has 105 acres of land at Ormondville, and 41 head of cattle, for sale on easy terms. At Messrs Monteith and Co.'s weekly sale at the Horse Bazaar on Saturday a quantity of plated ware, furniture, pigeons, &c, will be offered.

Mr M. R. Miller publishes a list of stock which he has for sale.
