LONDON.
October 31
The Times to-day states that itbas received information that the English Government disapprove of Baker Pasha's scheme for the reorganisation of the Egyptian army. In the House of Commons to-day Mr Gladstone, in reply to a question, stated that it was a fact that the Egyptian Government had applied for the assistance of certain British officers in the conduct or an expedition against a false prophet in the Soudan. The Premier, in the House of Commons, is insisting on the paseage of his resolutions for the adoption of the cloture, but is not making it a Cabinet question.
