October. 28—Ringarooma, s.s., for Sydney via Poverty Bay and Auckland. Passengers —Mesdames Chamberlain, Drummond, and Reed ; Messrs Curtis, Mountmollin, Tattersall, Drummond, Chamberlain, Ratcliffe, Schnozinger, Burton, J. Carlile, Percy, Ferns, and Banbury. 28—Kiwi, s.s., for Wellington, and costal stations. 29—Manaia, p.s., for Wairoa.

The 'Union Steamship Company's s.s. Bingarooma arrived hero from Southern ports at about 2.30 p.m. on Saturday, aud ■was at onco tendered by tho launch for mails and passengers, and by the ketches Why Not and Admiral for cargo, some 130 tons. The following is a report of hpr passage : —Left Melbourne on the 17th inst. at 5.30 p.m., reacting the Bluff on the 22nd inst. at 7 a.m.; departed on the 23rd, calling at Port Chalmers on the 24th, Lyttelton on the 26th, and Wellington on the 27th ; left the latter port at 7.30 p.m. same day, arriving at Napier on the 28th as above. Fresh S.E. winds across from Melbourne, and variable weather up the coast, to arrival. The outward passengers were taken off by the Boojum, and the Bingarooma took her departure for Sydney via Poverty Bay and Auckland late in the evening. The steamer Kiwi took in a large quantity of hides, preserved beef, potatoes, and tallow, on Saturday afternoon, and left for Wellington via coastal stations at about 4 o'clock. The s.s. Maori, Captain Anderson, returned to port at 8.30 p.m. on Saturday, with six passengers from Mohaka. She is to leave again to-night at 12 o'clock for Wairoa. The s.s. Sir Donald arrived from Waiinarama on Saturday night, with 102 bales of wool, which she placed on the Langstone this morning. The steamer Southern Cross, Capt. Bernech, arrived in the roadstead at 11 o'clock last night, and was berthed inside at the cattle wharf this morning, where she has discharged her cargo, some 50 tons. She is to load up with a shipment of cattle this afternoon, and will take her departure for Dunedin direct to-morrow morning. The steamer Fairy returned from the coast on Saturday evening with 95 bales of •wool, which she transhipped to the Norman McLeod to-day. The p,s. Manaia, Captain Baxter, steamed for Wairoa at 12 o'clock last night, taking a large cargo, and got inside the river at 8 o'clock this morning. The Union Steamship Company's s.s. Manapouri, which is due here on Saturday, left Sydney on Thursday last. She brings 20 tons original cargo for this port. The ketchers Admiral and Why Not are discharging the Bingarooma's cargo at the breastwork to-day.
