The steamer Fairy, Captain Campbell, left for the coast at 8"o'_lo.k last night, hut meeting a strong southerly wind at about Bare Island put back, and returned to port at 6 o'clock this morning. The s.s. Oreti's departure for Gisborno and Auckland has been postponed until 5 o'clock to-night. She is loading up to-day with sheep and cattle. The s.s. Sir Donald steamed for Waimarama at 12 o'clock last night, but meetin" a strong southerly wind at Cape Kidnappers returned to port at 4 o'clock this morning. The s.s. Kiwi, Captain Campbell, was to have left Wellington at 5 o'clock last night, and should arrive here by to-morrow morning at daylight. By advertisement she is announced to leave again at 5 o clock on Thursday morning. The topsail schooner Endeavor s departure for Wellington has been delayed owing to the southerly wind now blowing. The ketch Admiral is loading wool at the breastwork for the barque Langstonc toWe notice the steamer Result is having her boiler and engines removed from her, ancl understand that she is to be fitted as a sailing lighter, to be used for wool, etc, during the forthcoming season.
