NOTABILIA. At the Fancy Fair to-night a number of choruses, &c, will be rendered by ladies and gentlemen. The Artillery and Rifle Volunteers parade at 7.30 to-night in front of the Athenroum for inspection, which takes place at 8 o'clock. After inspection the men will march out. The members of the Juvenile Forester's Band meet at the Forester's Hall at 7 o'clock to-night. Captain Blythe directs the attention of the Rifle Volunteers to the general orders respecting the inspection this evening. A bay gelding will be sold at the Hastings pound to-morrow at noon unless previously redeemed. Tenders for the erection of additions to the Bank of Australasia at Waipawa must be sent in to Mr Duglaby, architect, tomorrow. A general meeting cf the Napier Land and Building Society, No. 5, will be held in the Council Chamber on Tuesday evening next I for the purpose of receiving the committee's report and balance-sheet and for the election of officers. Mr R. A. D. Mowbray, the treasurer, reminds members of the Napier Rowing Club that their subscriptions for the present season are now due and payable. On Saturday next Messrs Monteith and Co. hold their weekly auction sale of stock, vehicles, farming implements, produce, &c, at the Horse Bazaar. Messrs Lee and Sheath have two sums of money to lend at current rates on freehold security. All who have lists and subscriptions towards tho Jack relief fund are requested tc send them to Mr Grubb, the secretary and treasurer, by the 31st instant, as the fund is to be closed on November 1, Mr Tuxford wants to lease that section in Tennyson-street between Mr Tuxford's residence and the Masonic Hall. Tenders are invited by Mr C. A. Ewen, the agent, for the erection of new premises at Waipawa for the Bank of New Zealand. Seven head of cattle have been impounded at Taradale, which, unless redeemed, will be sold on November 10. A yellow sheep dog named " Fly " is lost. The finder will receive a reward of 10s on returning same to Mr Goodall, Occidental Hotel. Mr Jacobs invites inspection of his recent importations of lawn tennis, cricketing, [and fishing materials. Messrs Blythe and Co.'s tender for the samples of a brush manufacturer having been accepted, they are offering every description (no two alike) of brushes very cheap. The steamer Kiwi leaves for Wellington at 5 p.m. to-morroAV. The pure-bred Clydesdale entire Berlin Congress will stand this season at Maraekakaho. Mr Denholm has been appointed agent at the Spit for Mr Woods, pharmaceutical chemist.
