The Fancy Fayre at the Theatre will be open every day this week at 3 p.m. A special train for the Fair leaves Hastings tonight ot 6.30, calling at intermediate stations, and returning at 10 p.m. The committees of the Napier and Spit Fire Brigades meet at the Napier station at 8 o'clock to-night to consider the reception to be given to the delegates at the annual conference. Dobson's household furniture and effects at hi 3 mart to-morrow at 11 a.m. ; Mr Ryan sells 42 cases oranges at his mart at the same hour to-morrow; Messrs Monteith and Co. offer to public competition the privileges in connection with the Friendly Societies' fete at Hastings at the Criterion Hotel at noon to-morrow, and Messrs Banner ahd Liddle hold their first sale of colonial produce at their new stores at Port Ahuriri to-morrow at 2 p.m. Napier town section No. 523 will be offered for lease by public auction, at the office of the Hawke's Bay School Commissioners, to-morrow at 11 a.m., for a period of 21 years, the upset rental being £20 per annum. Tenders for the plasterer's work connected with the erection of the new Masonic Hall at Waipawa must be sent to the contractor, Mr John Hunter, by to-morrow. Major Routledge issues volunteer district orders anent the monthly inspection tomorrow evening. The Artillery and Rifle corps parade at 7.30, and the inspection takes place' at 8 o'clock, after which the companies will march out. The fourth annual meeting of the Hawke's Bay District, A.0.F., will be held in the lodge-room of Court Heretaunga, Hastings, on Thursday evening. Coaches to convey delegates and visitors leave the Criterion Hotel at 5.30 p.m. on that day. Captain Garner, N.A.V., publishes Battery orders with regard to the inspection and march out to-morrow evening. Messrs Magill and Campbell, having received a consignment of new summer drapery a little late in the season, and their stock being unusually large, intend clearing out the entire lot at wholesale prices, and the public are requested to see the bargains they will offer. Creditors in the estate of George Bradley, of Taradale, who have not yet done so, are requested to prove their claims at once. All accounts owing to the estate must be paid by Saturday, November 4, or they will oe sued for. A wool classer, with home and colonial experience, is open for engagement. Mr Dugleby invites tenders for raising a house at Clive. The owner of a black, white, and tan sheep dog can have same by paying expenses and applying to Tuna Nui station, where it was found. The steamer Oreti leaves for Gisborne and Auckland at 11 a.m. to-morrow. Mr W. E. Woods, pharmaceutical chemist, Napier and Hastings, informs the public that owing to increase in business, he has determined to reduce his scale of charges.
