October. 14—Kiwi, s.s., from Wellington via the coast. 14—Mannpouri, s.s., for Sydney via Poverty Bay and Auckland. Passengers—Misses Coupland, Bowerman, Harding, and C. Gasson ; Mesdames Edwards and son, Stevens, Harding, Clark, and 6 children, and Watt; Lord Clifford, Dr Gray, Messrs M'Donnld, Durston, T. Reed, J. Whiteford, Harker, D. Jackson, Jas. Brown, G. Puston, J. Leonard, South G. E. Lee, H. Loeke, Irvine, W. Brsvcn, Stevens, and Harding. The outward passengers for the s.s. Maimpouri were taken off by the launch shortly before 5 o'clock on Saturday afternoon, but the steamer did not get away till later in the evening. She is telegraphed as having arrived at Gisborne at 5 o'clock yesterday jnorning. The vessel which arrived on Saturday proved to be Messrs Shaw, Savill and Co.'s barque Langstone, Captain Ferguson, from London via Auckland. She brings about 300 tons of original cargo from London for this port, -which will be partly discharged tomorrow into the lighters. As soon as empty she will be placed on the berth to load wool and other produce for London. Messrs Kinross and Co. are her local agents. The steamer Maori returned from Wairoa at about 11 o'clock on Saturday night, bringing a number of passengers and 107 sacks of Baize. The topsail schooner Endeavor, Captain James Dick, arrived here from Oamaru at about noon on Saturday, and was brought inside later on and berthed at the breastwork, where she is discharging her cargo today, consisting of 70 sacks, 310 half-sacks, and 620 quarter-sacks of flour, 800 sacks of outs, and a quantity of bacon, consigned to order. Th& steamer Kiwi, Captain James Campbell, took her departure for Wellington on Saturday night, taking a large quantity of wool, tallow, hides, and preserved meats. The s.s. Southern Cross, Captain Berwick, arrired here yesterday morning from Gisborne and Auckland, and was brougkfc inside and moored at the cattle wharf. She brought 100 tons of cargo for here, which was discharged this morning, and at 3 o'clock this afternoon she is to leave for Gisborne and Auckland. The p.s. Manaia is at present on the hard in tbo Iron Pot having her bottom scraped. She is to leave for Wairoa again on Wednesday morniDg at about 10 o'clock. The s.s Fairy returned from Pourerere on Friday, night with a load of wo J, which she transhipped to the barque Norman McLeod. This makes the second load this vessel has brought from the coast of the Mr J. D. Ormond's 'clip, which we are glad to notice coming to our port instead of swelling the Wellington exports.
