Messrs Banner p.nd Liddle and T. J. Ryan held sales of fruit to-day, when apples brought from 3£d to 4£ci per lb, oranges from 8s to 10s per case, and lemons 12s per caie. [by cable.] London, October 9. Console havo further advanced to 101£. New Zealand securities remain at the following quotations : —Five per cent 10-40 loan, 1041; five per cent 1889 Joan, 107 ; four and a half per cent 1879-1904 loan, 101*. Adelaide wheat, ex-warehouse, is unchanged at 475, and New Zealand ditto at 42s to 44s 6d ; Adelaide flour, ex-store, 335. Australian tallow, best beef 44s 6d, and best mutton 475. Galvanised iron is quoted at £20 10s for gospel oak f .o.b.
