No entry will be received for any race except upon tbe condition that all claims, disputes, and obectlons arising, shall be decided by the Stewards, or whom they may appoint, and their decision upon all points shall be final. All protests must be accompanied with a deposit of 5 soys, which sum shall be forfeited to the funds if the protest is not sustained. AH nominations, entries, acceptances, etc.. accompanied by the necessary amount in cash, must be addressed to the secretary, and left at the Criterion Hotel, Napier, not later than 8 p.m. on the several specified dates. General entry night. Tuesday, 19th September. Qualification fee, 2 soys, payable at same time. The rules and weights of the Hawke's Bay Jockey Club, as in force at the date of the meeting, will be strictly adhered to. Five per cent, will be deducted from the gross amount of all stakes. Horses walking over will receive 50 per cent, of the stakes. Hack shall mean a horse that has never started in a weight for age or handicap race.
