The Royal Australian Circus -will perform at Makatoku to-night, and at Woodville tomorrow night. The Napier Eifle Volunteers will parade at 8 o'clock to-night in Clire Square for a march out. A meeting of the Friendly Societies Fete Committee will be held in the Foresters Hall, Dickens-street, at 7.30 this evening. The adjourned meeting of intending shareholders in the Hawke's Bay Meat Export Company will take place at the Criterion Hotel to-morrow at 11 a.m. Messrs Monteith and Co. will sell 150 head of mixed cattle and a number of horses by auction at the Shamrock yards to-morrow at 1 p.m. The domestic drama, " The Willow Copse," for the benefit of the Napier Hospital library fund, will be produced at the Theatre Eoyal on Tuesday and Wednesday next, under tbo patronage of the Mayor and the members of the Hospital Committee. The Zulu War exhibition and other pictures will be on view at the Town Hall, Hastings, on Saturday and Monday evenings. Every visitor receives a present. The adjourned meeting of those interested in the establishment of an Athenaeum at Hastings will take place to-morrow evening at the schoolroom. The places of business of members of the Napier Holiday Association will be closed on Tuesday next at 11 a.m., and not at 11.30 a.m., as previously announced. Mr J. B. Vernon, a debtor, will make application for his discharge at the sitting of the District Court in bankruptcy on Tuesday, October 10th. A dividend of 6s in the £1 is now payable by the trustee, Mr E. F. Menzics, on all admitted claims in the assigned estate of P. 11. Hickey. Mr li. Brooking, liconsed broker under the Land Transfer Act, publishes a list of properties which ho has for sale. Mr Brooking has also money to lend on approved security at current interest. During the holidays hot suppers can be obtained in the evenings at Yeuell's restaurant, and other delicacies at the shortest notice. Mr Snelling wants it known that the best table in Napier is kept at the Occidental Hotel. Apartments for two young men near the centre of the town are wanted.
