LONDON.
September 23. Two transports have sailed from Portsmouth to bring borne the first instalment of the troops from Egypt.
At to-day's wool sale 10,000 bales were catalogued. The tone of the market remains quiet. September 25. It is officially announced that Lieut.General Sir Garnet Wolseley and ViceAdmiral Sir Beauchamp Seymour are to be raised to the Peerage for their services in Egypt.
