Chapman, Dobson, Lee, Hill, Max Rinlclc, Henry, Brown, Gould, Patching, Overend, Kennedy, and Horton. 24—Maori, s.s., for Wairoa. Passengers— Messrs Selig, Potts, Russell, and several natives. 24 —Manaia, p.s., for Wairoa. Passengers Messrs G. B. Flint, Gardiner, G. Sargisson, P. Dolbel, two others, and six natives.

The Union Steamship Company's s.s. Omapere, Captain McTntosh, arrived here yesterday from Wellington, on her maiden trip up the coast, bringing some 100 tons of cargo for this port. She was brought inside by tho pilot, and moored to the breastwork, •where she discharged her cargo. The following is a report of her passage : —She left Duneclin wharf at 10 p.m. on the 19th and proceeded direct toOamaru, arriving at G. 30 a.m. on the 20th ; sailed again at midnight and arrived alongside Timaru breakwater at 7 a.m. on the 21st; left again at 2 p.m. and arrived at Wellington at 2 a.m. on the 23rd ; sailed again at 3 p.m. and arrived at Napier as above. She experienced light northerly •winds as far as Timaru, thence to Wellington strong N.W. gale accompanied by heavy Load sea, and from Wellington hence strong ■westerly winds. While in Oamaru she carried away her fore-topmast lifting some heavy goods, which, not having been yet replaced, rather takes off from her general appearance. She is announced to steam on her way northwards at 3 o'clock this afternoon.

The Union Steamship Company's s.s. Ringarooma, Captain Edie, arrived hero shortly before 3 o'clock on Saturday afternoon, and was at once tendered by the Boojum forpassengers, and by the ketch Admiral and Three Brothers for cargo, some 20 tons. The following is a report of her passage to thid port: —Left Melbourne on September 12th at 4.30 p.m., clearing the heads at 7.10 p.m., and reaching Hobart wharf at 12.20 a.m. on the 14th ; sailed thence at 7 p.m. ; "was abreast of the South-west Capo on the 17th at 9 a.m., passing ths Solanders at 11.5 a.m., reaching the Bluff at 6 a.m. on the 18th. Experienced fresh S.W. head breeze from Melbourne to Hobart; thence to arrival in New Zealand had light northerly and N.W. weather ; left Bluff on the 18th at 5 p.m., calling at Port Chalmers on the 19th, Lyttelton on tho 21st, Wellington on the 22nd, leaving at 8.10 p.m. the same evening, and arriving here as given above. The passengers were taken off, and the steamer left for the North late in the evening.

The steamer Kiwi, Captain J. Campbell, arrived here from Wellington at about three o'clock yesterday afternoon, and was brought straight inside and berthed at the cattle wharf. She left Wellington at 10 p.m. on Friday, called at Tawhito at daylight next morning, but was unable to land ; arrived as Castle Point at noon, and left at 1 a.m. on Saturday, called at Cape Turnagain, but was unable to communicate, and came on here, arriving as above. She brings a number of passengers and about 150 tons of cargo for here. Her time of departure is fixed for 4 o'clock this afternoon. The p.s. Manaia, Captain Baxter, left for Wairoa at 6 o'clock on Sunday morning, taking a number of passengers and a good cargo. The steamer Maori sailed for Wairoa at 6 o'clock yesterday morning, taking a full cargo. The topsail schooner Bannockurn, captain James Kendall, arrived here from Dunedin yeaterday morning after a nine days passage, and was brought inside and berthed at the breastwork this morning. She brings a cargo of 855 casks of cement, transhipped out of the Star of Erin and Peter Stuart, consigned to Mr Mckenzie, 25 cases iron and 15 casks of cement to order, and 120 packages of paper to Messrs Neal and Close. The Union Company's s.s. Boojum, captain Maloney, is to leave for Wairoa at 8 o'clock on Wednesday morning. The cargoes being discharged at the "wharves to-day out of the steamers Kiwi, Ringaroom, Arawata, and Omapere amount to 450 tons.
