Australians v. North of England,
(Br Carle.) London, September 14. The Australian cricketers commenced a match 'o-day at Manchester against an eleven representing the North of England. The home team went in first, and at the close of the day's play had lost nine wickets for 193 runs. September 15. The cricket match at Manchester between the Australian team and an eleven of the North of England was resumed today. The home team continued their first innings, which closed for a total of 245 runs. The Australians then went in for their first innings, and were all disposed of for 110 runs. The visitors, being 135 behind their opponents, followed on their innings, and when the stumps were drawn for the day had scored 59 runs for the lobb of three wickets.
