The British troops paraded in force today before the enemy's camp near Kassassin. A reconnoisanoe of their position wa3 effected, and brisk firing occurred between our outposts and those ot the enemy. September 6. News has been received from Kassaßsin that a party of the enemy's cavalry reconnoitred the British camp there today. Upon being observed a brisk Are was opened upon them from the outposts. The calalry returned the fire, and the fusillade was kept up for some time. The enemy, however, ultimately retired. A British convoy proceeding to Ramses was attacked near that place to-day by a strong force of Bedouins. The guard attending the convoy repelled tbe attack with vigor, and the Bedouins were repulsed, and made off.
