A concert in aid of the Wesleyan Chnvch harmonium fund will be given in the Town Hall, Hastings, to-night, commencing at 8 o'clock. The members of the Waipawa County Eacing Club hold their annual meeting tonight at 7.30 o'clock at the Kailway Hotel, Kaikora. The quarterly meeting of the fierefcaunga Licensing Committee takes place in the Town Hall, Hastings, to-morrow at noon. Messrs Banner and Liddle sell by auction to-morrow, at 11a.m., at their rooms, entirely without reserve, the balance of Messrs Stuart and Co.'sstock of clothing, &c. The programme of the concert to be given by St. Paul's choir in St. John's school-room to-morrow evening is published. The Napier Hide Volunteers parade for inspection in the Protestant Hall on Thurs - day evening. The quarterly meeting of St. John's Branch, No. 93, H.A.C.8.5., will be held on Wednesday, 13th instant. Clem m en Petersen, of Waipawa, boot and shoo maker, declares his inability to meet his engagements with his creditors. The first meeting will be held at the Court House, Napier, on Tuesday next, at 2 p.m. Messrs Banner and Liddle sell a consignment of stove furniture by auction at their rooms on Friday next. The] goods will be on view previous to the sale. The Hawke's Bay County Council invites tenders for building nine small bridges on the Puketitiri Bush road. Mr S. A. Snelling, late of the Victoria Hotel, wants it known that he has taken the Occidental Hotel, where he hopes to see his friends. Mr Beecroft invites touders for additions to tho Hastings sale yards, and also for metalling the old yards. Mr R. H. Eobinson is now opening up his first shipments of spring and summer goods at the Cheap Drapery Shop, which will be closed on Friday in order to make a grand display of the new goods on Saturday. Mr F. Tuiford has received this season's stock of mangolds, field carrot and turnip seeds. The new season's goods at Messrs Blythe and Co.'s are now being rapidly opened up. Board and residence for one or two gentlemen on moderate terms can be had on application at the office of this paper. The steamer Kiwi leaves for Wellington to-morrow at 1 p.m. Mr Dcnholm has been appointed agent at the Spit for Mr Woods, pharmaceutical chemist.
