SYDNEY.
September 3. An extensive fire broke oat early this morning in Clarence street on the premises occupied by Messrs D. Mitchell and Co., wholesale grocers, causing the total destruction of the buildings and stock. The insurance amounts to £18,300, of which £4000 was upon the building and £14,300 upon the stock, which is divided among vaiious offices. The loss is estimated at fully £20,000. September 4. Mitchell's premises, which were destroyed by fire yesterday morning, were insured in the New Zealand office for £1000.
