LONDON.
September 1. News is to hand from the Phillipine Islands to the effect that cholera is raging with unabated effect, and is decimating the population of Monilla. At to-day's wool auction 9700 bales were offered. The tone of the sale was firm. Nine thousand two hundred bales have been withdrawn from sale since the opening of the series.
