CRICKET.
Australians v. South of England. (By Cable.) London, August 31. The Australian cricketers commenced a return match against a united eleven of the South of England at Cambridge today. The attendance of spectators was , large during the day, although the weather was Bhowery. Much interest is being taken in the match. During the after- ' noon the inclemency of the weather increased, and play was suspended. The Australians went first to the wickets, and when the stumps were drawn had scored 131 with three wickets to fall. The highest scorers were Giffen caught 40, and Bonnor caught 35. The wicket was . heavy.
