NOMINATIONS.
Marsden.—Messrs Alderton, Mitchelson, and M'Leod. Ashburton.—Mr E. G. Wright was the only candidate nominated and he was declared duly elected. Waimate.—Messrs W. J. Steward, John Manchester, J. R. Clements, W. Bateman, and C. W. Clarke. Picton—Messrs E. J. Conolly and W . H. Eyes. The show of hands was in favor of Mr Conolly. Coleridge.—Messrs Jebson, F. M'Millan, and J. D. Enys. The show of hands was—Jebson, 10 ; M'Millan, 8 ; Enys, 2 A poll was demanded.
