ARRIVALS,
October. 24 —Forest Queen, ketch, from Lyttelton,
The ketch which arrived in the Bay yesterday proved to be the Forest Queen, Captain David Anderson, from Lyttelton, which place she left i.iefc Satiu-day week. She brings a cargo of 250 sacks of wheat consigned to Messrs Murray, Roberts and Co., which she is discharging at the breastwork to-day. She is to take two of the Railway Department's locomotive engines on her return trip to Lyttelton. The Kiwi's departure for Wellington last night was postponed on account of the southerly weather. She is, however, to leave at 3 o'flock this afternoon, taking passengers and oargo. ■'• lie CJnion Company 8 s.s. Boojum s departure for Wairoi) has been postponed until 11 o'clock io-morrow.

The Union Company's s.s. Southern Cross does not leave ~nd for here before Saturday next, in order to allow her to have 4ome repairs effected to her boiler.

The P. and O. Company's steamship Indus arrived at King Georgo's Sound this morning from Galle Tvith the outward mails via Suez and Brindisi, dated London, September 23.
Melbottenb. Octoher 24.
The steamship Alhambra has been chartered here for six months for the Notv Zealand trade.
