Melbourne, October 24. Falmouth and Lord Clifden have been scratched for the Melbourne Cup. Somnns is first favorite for the Derby at 2to li Somerset's price is 3to 1. Betting on the Cup is unchanged. Dachese, 8 to 1 ; Trump Yoss, 10 to 1 ; Sweetmeat and Odd Trick, 14 to 1.
