T have examiued the Samp.k of M'Ewin's Bottled Alb submitted to me, and find that it contains - Alcohol by weight, 640 per cent; or by volume, 655 per cent. Extractive mat ter, S-08 per cent.; Acid matter, 017 per cent. I have also examined the Alb for such deleterious ingredients as are sometimes added to Beer, and have found no indication of their presence. The three first eonrtitions laid down by the Committee tor Winks and Bbers for tho late tional Exhibition, aa those to which especial prominence would be piven, were—lst, Low alcoholic per centage : 2nd, Freedom from acidity ; 3rd A.beenoe of fusel oil; and all these ye fulfilled in this sample.
