The Union Company's s.s. Te Anau, Capt. M. Carev, arrived in the roads at noon on Saturday from Melbourne via Southern ports. Left Melbourne on the 27th at 8 p.m., and oleared the, heads afc 6 p.m., Swan Island on the 28t\i at 2 p.m., S. West Cape on the 31st at 6 p.m., and after experiencing light S.E. winds arrived at the Bluff on the Ist at 7 a.m. ; left same day at 4.80, and arrived at Dunedin on the 2nd at 7 a.m.; left again on the 3rd at 6 p.m., and arrived at Lyttelton on the 4th at 10 p.m.; left same day at 7 p.m., and arrived at Wellington on the sth at 10 a.m.; left same day at 7 p.m., and arrived at Napier as «.*->. v«, Experienced fine weather up tho coast.
.1 v Union Steam Ship Company's s.s. Te Anau, Captain M. Carey, sailed for Northern ports at a late hour on Saturday night, taking 400 sheep, shipped by Mr Thomas I'ishop, for the Auckland market. The s.s. Result, Captain Baxter, returned from Wairoa on Saturday evening, bringing a number of passengers. She leaves again for the same place to-morrow night. The steamer Maori, Captain Anderson, returned from Wairoa via Mohaka on Saturday night. She leaves again for Wairoa to-morrow morning. The s.s, Oreti, Capt. Campbell, is expected to arrive here to-morrow morning from Auckland and Gisborne, and is advertised to steam for the same ports at 5 p.m.
The lighters Three Brothers and Admiral discharged their cargoes to-day aft the breast ■work, transhipped out of the Rotomahana and Te Anau on Saturday, respectively. The schooner Orpheus, Capt. J. Dunn, arrived from Mercury Bay at 2 o'clock on Saturday afternoon, with a cargo of 35,000 f<H. of sawn timber for Messrs Dolbel and 00.
The steamer Go-Ahead, Capt. P. Doile, arrived from Southern ports late on Saturday night, and was brought inside and berthed at the cattle wharf yesterday morning, where she discharged her cargo to-day, consisting of a large quantity of transhipments ex the ship Fernsrlen from London and other cargo. She leaves again for the Houth about 5 o'clock this evening. The s.s. Kiwi arrived from Gisborne yesterday at noon, bringing the Napier football team and other passengers. She left again for Wellington towards evening, taking a quantity of wool and extract of meat shipped on the way up. The s.s. Sir Donald, while coming in the heads on Saturday evening, broke the crank of her shaft, and had to be towed in by the Boojum. The damage, however, is not of a very serious nature, and she will be ready for work again in a few days. The Union Company's s.s. Rotomahana, hence on Saturday, arrived at Wellington at V a.m. yesterday. The s.s. Te Anau arrived afc Gisborne from Napier yesterday at 7 a.m.
