DEPARTURES.
July. 26—Owake, topsail schooner, for Greymouth. 26—Jessie, ketch, for Poverty Bay. topsail schooner for Greymouth.
The topsail schooner Owake, Capt. Purely, after recovering her anchor yesterday evening, sailed for Greymouth. The ketch Jessie sailed for Poverty Bay yesterday afternoon, with a load of coal transhipped ex tho Silver Cloud: The topsail schooner Gleaner sailed in ballast for Greymouth at 7 o'clock this morning. The s.s. Oreti will arrive from the South to-morrow, and is advertised to steam for Auckland direct at 3 p.m. Messrs Murray, Roberts and Co are her agents. The s.s. Kiwi, Capt. Campbell, which left Wellington last evening, may be looked for at an early hour to-morrow morning. She brings a full cargo of transhipments out of the Mary Low, from London, and general goods. Her advertised time of departure for Wellington is 3 o'clock to-morrow afternoon.
The steamer Go-Ahead, Capt. Doile, is due here from Wellington and Southern ports at daylight to-morrow, and is expected to get away again for Wellington the same afternoon. The s.s. Result's departure was postponed last night as there is still too much sea on the Wairoa bar to permit of her entering the river. The movements of the Union Company's boats are as under: —The s.s. Rotorua, Capt. Tozer, leaves Auckland to-morrow afternoon, and will arrive here on Saturday morning at daylight, and the s.s. Rotomabana will ieave Wellington, en route from Melbourne and the South, on Friday afternoon, arriving here at about midday on Saturday. The soundings taken by the pilot on the bar yesterday afternoon showed but a minimum depth of ten feet one inch.
