MELBOURNE.
July 26. The elections for West Bourke and Ararat took place to-day, and resulted in the return of Sir Bryan O'Loghlen for the former by a small majority. Sir David Gaunson, the new Minister of Lands, was, however, defeated for Ararat by a large majority. The returns from Moira and Dehtite are not yet complete, but the reelection of Mr Bolton (PostmasterGeneral) and Mr J. H. Graves (Minister of Customs) for these constituencies is considered certain.
