BRISBANE.
July 22. The doctors have decided to-day that the malady from which the children in South Brisbane are suffering is small-pox, and the authorities have therefore considered it advisable to place them in quarantine. Every possible precaution is being taken to prevent the spread of the disease. July 23. After further examination of the three children residing in South Brisbane the doctors pronounce their cases not to be small-pox. Tbe house, however, in which the children live is isolated until all doubt as to the nature of their sickness is removed.
