The s.s. Go-Ahead, Tapt. George W. Hart, arrived from Wellington direct at 1.15 p.m. to-day and was immediately on arrival brought inside and berthed at the breastwork. She reports having left "Wellington on Wednesday evening, and after having hammered at a southerly gale for some two hours p\it back inside the heads, and ■waited until 2 p.m. yesterday, when she again started, and arrived here as above. She brings a good cargo and several passengers. She leaves for Wellington again afc one o'clock to-morrow.

The s.s. Maori, Captain H\' Anderson, left for Wairoa at nbout 12 o'clock Inst night, taking two passengers and a full cargo, The s.s. Albion was to have left Wellington for here from Southern ports only at 2 p.m. to-day, and should arrive in good time to-morrow morning. She is advertised to sail for Northern ports at 4 p.m. The Union Company's s.s. Rotorna, Capt. Tozer, leaves Gisborne to-night, and "will arrive here at daylight in the morning. She sails for Southern ports and Melbourne at 11 a.m.
