PORT AHURIRI.
The s.s. Result, Captain W. E. Baxter, did not leave for Wairoa, as was expected, last night, her departure being postponed to enable her to secure a number of native passengers and their goods'. She will, however, leave at about midnight to-night. Tho s.s. Sir Donald, Capfc. Q.uinlan, is loading up with posts to-day for Fairy Bay, and will probably get away to-night. The cutter Clara, Capt. Fernie, will probably sail for Mohaka to-night. No intelligence is to hand with reference to the movements of the steamer Kiwi, and it is thought probable that she has been laid up for a few days to effect some long-talked of repairs in her engine-room, and will not leave Wellington before about Saturday next. . The s.s. Wallace will leave Nelson tor the Sounds on Tuesday, the 12th instant, calling at the West Coast ports. [by cable] Syi fey, April 5. Arrived, steamship Norfolk from Wellington. ailed, Union Company's steamships Wakatipu for Wellington, and Hero for Auckland, (By Telkgbaph) Lytteltojt, April 6. Arrived, Ispahan, ship, from Algoa Bay to load for London. Sailed, Minydon for London.
