Dtjnedin, February 22.

Sir Modred met with an accident this morning. When going at full speed, he fell over one of Taggart's greyhounds, and knocked two teeth out. He walked off the course, and it is not known whether he is seriously injured or not. Six to 4is now offered against him. On Dit is second favorite.

Latest betting on the Cup:—4 to 1 against On Dit, 6 to 1 against Randwick, 7 to I against Sylvanus, 9 to 1 against Volunteer, 100 to 10 against Fishhook, 100 to 9 against The Governor, and 100 to 5 against Lady Emma. Volunteer, Randwick, Morpheus, Huntingdon, On Dit, Natator, Luna, The Agent, and The Governor appeared on the course this morning. When the horses were being taken out of the train something startled Natator, who fell off the platform on to some stones, injuring himself slightly. Adamant has been scratched for all his engagements, and it ie not probable that Lady Emma will start for the Cup.
