THE TOTAL WRECK OF THE BRIG CLEMATIS.

Cheistchurch, February 22.
The brig Clematis, Henry Bowdon master, laden with a cargo of palings and shingles from Hobart to Lyttelton, ran on to a sunken rock near Long Look* out Point yesterday, and sank shortly afterwards. The sea was quite calm when the vessel struck. With the assistance of the ketch Prince Rupert a small portion of the cargo was saved. The crew and all their effects were also saved. The vessel belongs to Charles Domdall and Co., Hobart, and is insured in the office of the London Company.
