WESTPORT.
February 15. An enquiry into the mishap to the Charles Edwards was held to-day. Captain White gave evidence as to the vessel striking, and that the watertight compartments saved the vessel from total loss. A crack five feet long and two inches wide was found in the plates under the forehold and engine-room. The compartments have been repaired and the Bteamer sails for Nelson to-night.
