The s.s. Bella, Captain Dowell, returned from Mohaka yesterday about midday. She brought 36 bales of wool, which she transhipped to the Loch Fleet. The s.s. Sir Donald, Captain Quinlan, steamed for Fairy Bay last night, taking a quantity of posts, and is to return with a load of wool.
The steamer Maori left for Wairoa at 11 o'clock last night, with passengers and a quantity of general cargo. The steamer Go-Ahead, Captain F. M. Dieter, arrived here from Wellington direct at 8 o'clock last night, which place she left on Wednesday night at 7 o'clock. She was brought inside at 6 o'clock this morning, and moored at the breastwork, where she discharged her cargo, some 40 tons during the morning. She is advertised to leave for Wellington at 5 o'clock to-night. The s.s. Result, Captain Baxter, arrived from Wairoa yesterday afternoon, bringing passengers and cargo. The s.s. Kiwi, Captain James Campbell, arrived here from Wellington at 8 o'clock this morning, and was brought straight inside and moored at the cattle wharf, where she discharged her cargo, about 40 tons, including transhipments ex the Antares from London. Arawata is due here about noon to-morrow from Melbourne and South, and will sail for Sydney and the North at 5 o'clock.
