Medical- *~\ ' A I W E R A II 0 T SPRING S. # 'v Clement's Park, Cambridge, Waiknto, March 0, 1S7C. To PwOUHiT Grmiam, Esq , Proprietor Waivvera Hot Springs. De\r Sir,— Amoii? the many invalids tint have v isited the Waivvera Hot Springs, perhaps there is not one who has derived more benefit in «o short a tune as mjsclf; and I think it is a duty 1 owe to others who maj be similarl> iituated to makemj case known. "W hen 1 went to the Springs I was suffering great pam ;— could not walk, but had to be earned - and when la.d down on the sofa at Waivvera, suffered such excruciating pain, that I had to get brandy and water to kee-i. me from fainting-. My knee was civollen to tvv ice its usual size. After fourteen day*' bathing and drinking the waters, I recovered ; got rid of the pain, and felt in everj way as well as ever I WA3 in my life, which baa continued ; and I feel sure when better known, the Waiwer* Hot Springs will be higtali appreciated, and great benefit* will be derived from such valuable medicinal spring!. I have refrained from giving a testimonial till now, fearing the rapid cure could not be lasting ; but it is now lix months since I was cured, and not the Lightest symptoms of a return of the pam, in fact I never felt better. I'am Yonr» faithfully, A. CLUtum. Waiwera, March 6, 1876. I arrived at the Waiwent on the 20th of January, after four months suffering from Rheumatic Gout, and immediately after a fourth relapse on board the 1 Mikado.' I was then unable to set my right foot on the irrouud, and sufiering acute pain. Now, after more than six week's use of the baths, I am thankful to be able to walk about a mile in the daj , my general health is much improved, and. I hope, the foundation laid for permanent recovery. It would ha\ e been very "ratifying to me to have b«en able to bear a more satisfactory testimony. I hare seen others come on crutches, and go away after a much shorter stay independent of them; and I can only account fcr the obstinacv of my own caae by tbe severe intellectual and continual strain of many years »f wasting labour with insufficient sleep. I hav e much pleasure in bearing testimony to the excellence of the Hotel arrangements, ami to the kindness shown to me by the Proprietor, Robert Graham, Ebq., and by the Manager, Mr. Boston, and his excel■ihc packing, and other processes, to which I wtu subjected during the fir»t week of m> btay bj Mr. Edvvin Turner, Hydropathic Practitioner, rendered me essential service, and I am persuaded that bad he been fiic-mt all the time to continue those processes, I should have been eompletel.v restored.
