SUICIDES AND CRIME IN VICTORIA.
KinrAitn Pki'kks, of Colhngwood, committed suicide by hanging in lna workshop on August 17 Leo Yun Qnook, a Chinaman, hanged himself early on tho tamo morning on the Melbourne cunetery fonco. William Ham, a selector, near Lancia borough, shot lnnnelf through tho head tho same day. William Roberta, farmer, near Seymour, Bhnt himself the 8amo day while drunk. Tho body of a main child was found on August 18 in a hole 13 feat deep, at North Custlunvune. Tho child, evidently full grown, had been pushed into a bag of inanuro, tho manure covering tho body, which was porf«'ctly black. Tho body was found in tho Hiuno hole whence tho infant, now known as Amelia Caatlomaino Victoria, waa rescued aliv.
